New for 2026!

  • PONY National has moved the Softball age cutoff dates from December 31st to August 31st. Some players will be eligible for a 3rd season in their previous division, but will able to play up one division as always.
  • We are in discussions with surrounding softball leagues - Pleasant Hill, Livermore, Martinez, and others - to offer our first ever inter-league play! This will be a pilot program for our Bronco (12U) and Pony (14U) divisions, and the idea is that we would play at home against our divisional teams during the week then play teams from these other leagues on Saturdays (half of the Saturdays here in Brentwood, half travelling to these other cities). The finer details are still being worked out, such as insurance, charter memberships, rules, etc.

Welcome to Brentwood Pony Baseball & Softball

Welcome to the BPBSL home page! We are a youth baseball & softball organization in east Contra Costa County. We invite players from any city in the area to join us for recreational, competitive and instructional fun. We host ages 4-18 in 11 divisions. Our player base is, on average, up to 1200 players each spring season.  Our Spring season registration opens at the end of October with the season beginning in March. Our “Fall Ball” program opens registration in June for a season that begins in August and runs through October.

We are a completely volunteer run organization of community members from all over the county. All Managers, Coaches, Board Members, and personnel are volunteers that want the youth of our area to have a world class baseball & softball experience while growing up in eastern Contra Costa County.

Our games are officiated by our In-house Umpire program with youth and adult Umpires learning their trade. Our older divisions (13-18) are umpired by the Contra Costa Umpire’s Association. The In-house Umpire program is a educational training program to help youth Umpires learn the art of Umpiring and they are trained and coached by CCSUA Umpires and Veteran Umpires from the In-House program. If you are interested in becoming an Umpire for BPBSL, we invite you to contact us HERE.
